India’s story of Digital Transformation is a story of Innovation, Implementation and Inclusion. India has pioneered uniquely innovative digital projects, implemented population scale transformational projects and ensured Digital Inclusion – with an objective of providing affordable access to Digital Services to all citizens.

Digital India was launched on 1st July 2015 by Hon’ble Prime Minister.

In the last seven years, under the guidance and leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister, India has implemented several digital transformational projects and some of these include Aadhaar, Unified Payment Interface, Digilocker, UMANG, API Setu, CoWin Vaccination Platform, Government e-Market Place (GeM), DIKSHA, Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission, etc.

One of the initiatives that can be shared globally is India’s leadership in Digital Technologies and experience of implementing Digital Transformation projects at population scale. In addition, there has been continuous requests that are received from various countries regarding India contributing to the Global Digital Public Goods repository. The lessons from India Stack are there for the world to adopt.
