World’s leading contact tracing app to check and prevent covid outbreak

PPP based agile development methods were adopted.
Experts from Industry, Government and Academia joined together to implement it in timebound manner.
Front end is made available in Android, iOS and KaiOS and backend is hosted at Cloud.

Technical - NIC/Government of India can aid in complete knowledge transfer and capacity building for the team in the foreign country. They can then take over and handle the entire operations. Some of the technology stack components are designed based on native AWS Cloud services, so the project in its current form can run on AWS Cloud only. If the foreign country desires to change the platform, then they can modify the code accordingly.
Financial - NIC is ready to offer the source code, design and architecture, free of cost. However, the foreign country has to bear the cost for the cloud platform/backend platform and the cost for any modifications/customizations should also be borne by the foreign country. Additionally, MEA can also consider sponsoring the cost expenses for the foreign country.
Operational - NIC Team shall do the complete knowledge transfer and aid in one time setting up of the project and will then handover the project to the foreign country. Post hand-over foreign country shall own the complete project operations.
Legal - A Memorandum of Understanding has to be signed with the foreign country before carrying out the project implementation and handover.
